Perfect Throw Jig: used to set throw on switch points.
The safe, accurate way every time.
Positions between stock rail and switch point. Approximately
three inches ahead of number rod.
Allows employee to set throw perfectly to dimensions.
Throw is set much more precise, as employee no longer
needs to improvise on procedure.
Offers employees time to set rods comfortably and
correctly as they no longer need to give attention
to throw once jig is in place.
Adds safety, as the jig is made of solid steel construction.
Anyone who builds switches or maintains switches, the Perfect Throw Jig is a
required tool for consistent, safe and productive practices.
The jig rests on top of the stock rail and point on a lip made into the jig. The bulk of the jig rests
between, offering a safe spread due to the steel construction. The jig offers little obstruction
visually for lining switch or stock rail.
Employees no longer need to improvise on achieving throw opening with any
given item laying around or by having another employee hold opening while rods
are being adjusted. A safety hazard in itself.
The tool is designed to be generic for the right or left turnouts, but
on right hand turnouts the straight side must be adjusted and on left hand turnouts
the turnout side must be adjusted. This is due to point slope considerations
that are built in to the jig. We will gladly offer handed perfect throw jigs,
upon your request for continuity in procedures.
